Pugosa cowned Ms. Technology 2007
Charlotte Joy Pugosa, a junior Information Technology student was recently crowned Miss Technology '07 last August 23, 2007 besting other 4 candidates in the said pageant.
She was hailed the friendliest among the candidates as she bag the Ms. Congeniality award.
Charlotte, as what most of her friends called her is a close comrade and a classmate of a 3-peat beauty pageant winner Czernee Pearl Villazorda (Miss Infotech 2006, Miss Technology 2006, and Miss MPSC 2006).
Charlotte together with Miss Technology '07 1st Runner-up Beverlyn Ranis will then represent the School of Industrial and Information Technology (SIIT) in the upcoming seach for Mr. and Miss MPSC 2007.
Will she defend the title of her close friend Czernee Pearl Villazorda as the reigning Miss MPSC 2006? Will she make it to the Top 3?
Miss Technology 2007 was made possible through the effort of the Student Council of Industrial and Information Technology officers headed by Ma. Isabela Damasco, SCIIT President.

Seminar Workshop on Ruby Programming Language
Come October 5, 2006, there will be a (planned) Seminar Workshop on the Ruby Programming Language at the Audio Visual Center. This event will be attended by all 3rd and 4th year students of Information Technology.
The speaker will be Sir Botp Peņa of Del Monte Philippines, Inc.
Here is a small view of the Ruby Programming Language:
"You want to enjoy life, don't you? If you get your
job done quickly and your job is fun, that's good isn't it? That's the purpose of life, partly.
Your life is better.
I want to solve problems I meet in the daily life by using computers, so I need to write
programs. By using Ruby, I want to concentrate the things I do, not the magical rules of the
language, like starting with public void
something something something to say, "print hello
world." I just want to say, "print this!" I don't want all the surrounding magic keywords. I
just want to concentrate on the task. That's the basic idea. So I have tried to make Ruby code
concise and succinct."
